Hi, I’m Taruja Borker.

About Taruja Borker

Founder of Good Gut Alchemy | Dedicated Educator | Lifelong Student of Yoga and Ayurveda


I have been practicing yoga for over 15 years and teaching for the past 5. After completing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2021, I continued my studies in Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy with Susan Bass and in 2024, I graduated from the 300-hour Ayurvedic Yoga Program with Susan Bass. I continue to study with her to further refine my knowledge and practice.

My journey into yoga and holistic medicine began when my son was born and later diagnosed with Down Syndrome. What started as self-study soon grew into formal training under a teacher. Along the way, I not only supported my son’s wellbeing but also healed my own chronic digestive issues and sleep difficulties.

Through a blend of Marma therapy, which is an ancient massage technique, along with diet and lifestyle guidance based in time honored Ayurvedic principles I help you restore balance in your nervous system, gut and your body as a whole.

I have deep knowledge of ancient nutrition on how different ingredients interact or complement each other, paired with 13+ years of experience in cooking, food preparation and developing recipes.

My Philosophy


The body holds an innate intelligence and a natural ability to heal. With the right tools, nourishment, and support, this wisdom can be awakened, allowing the body to restore balance and thrive.

I don’t believe in health fads, rigid rules, or stressful wellness routines. I believe in giving your body the space it needs to do what it does best.

Ayurveda isn't just my profession; it’s the foundation of how I live. If you peeked into my daily life, you'd find me working at my favorite floor desk and chair, and pausing to meditate before every single meal—even if it’s just for one mindful minute to prepare my digestion.

Healing doesn't have to be complicated. We just need to keep it simple.

Whether you are looking to fix chronic digestive issues, sleep through the night, or reclaim the sharp mental focus you need to fulfill your purpose, I am here to guide you.
